Pitch Night 2017: The Pre-Sale
For six years the annual RMIT Pitch Night for 3rd Year Advertising Students has been the hallmark of the degree and THE event to find up and coming talent for the industry. This year my team and I got to spearhead every single aspect of it. Previous years the Lookbook - or ‘Yearbook’ in previous years - has been a slapdash effort purely for students, rather than the old fashioned Yellow Pages of talent for Agencies and Students alike. We wanted it to become a ‘catalogue’ all the GrADs available, for Agencies to peruse over both traditional print and digital platforms. The Lookbook would demonstrate the work, personalities and creativity of students from Accounts to Art Direction, and include people whose tastes ran in the more digital zone. We tied the Lookbook this year to a brand new concept - The Gallery - where GrADs and Prospective Pre-Sale buyers (Agencies) alike could see some of the best talent RMIT has to offer. I had the pleasure of doing the accounts, strategy and art direction of both Lookbook and The Gallery.
